I'm going to use Cairo/Gtk with C.
And, I'm going to use Qt with Python.
That's a lot of learning, but I've got a lot of time. I'm not afraid of taking on a challenge like this. Learning both, I'll understand which works better for certain needs I might have. And knowledge is as good as gold.
