Default strange kernel messages

I'm seeing some odd kernel messages in /var/log/messages:

Code:
Aug 6 20:29:40 p1-p42-b63x86 last message repeated 3 times
Aug 6 20:29:42 p1-p42-b63x86 kernel: .
Aug 6 20:29:42 p1-p42-b63x86 kernel: 1
Aug 6 20:29:52 p1-p42-b63x86 kernel:
Aug 6 20:29:53 p1-p42-b63x86 kernel: :
Aug 6 20:29:53 p1-p42-b63x86 kernel:
Aug 6 20:29:53 p1-p42-b63x86 kernel: 0
Been seeing this on again off again for a little while, not sure what the significance is.

Not much to go on. What FreeBSD version? Are you running IPFW and have its logging enabled perchance?

BSD 6.3 - yes to IPFW and yes to logging. I might have rectified the problem though- just gonna keep watching the logs for a few days to see.

no fix per se - did find an IPFW rule that was subnetted incorrectly. The messages seem to occur when 'squidGuard -C all' is run.
