Default edonkey n00b question

How do I get edonkey up and running?

This is a list of ports that I have installed
edonkey-gui-gtk-0.6.4_6 GTK GUI to eDonkey2000 'core' command line client
edonkey-gui-gtk-urlslave-0.0.2_7 GTK+ enabled Perl script for adding ed2k:// links to ed2k G
edonkey-tool-hash-0.4.0 Both calculates 'eDonkey/Overnet hashes' producing ed2k://
linux-edonkey-core-1.3.0,1 eDonkey2000 'core' command line client
linux-edonkey-server-16.39_1 A decentralized peer-to-peer file-sharing server (eDonkey20
When I run the edonkey-gui it complains that "NO core binaries are found in your path(What path?) Please install an overnet or edonkey client command line client)."

However, I have noticed that I have the following:
[disappearedng@miuky1 /usr/local/sbin]$ /usr/local/sbin/donkey

[--- Storing settings in '/home/disappearedng/.eDonkey2000' ---]

Error loading contact list
Welcome to eDonkey2000 command line client 1.3.0
Enter commands at any time (type '?' for help)
That I infact have a edonkey command line client!
How do I configure my gui to this?
