Default vnd files disappear?

Anyone have a vnd file disappear? I put my home directory on an encrypted file and attached it to snvd0. well, my encrypted file just disappeared on me one day when I unmounted and vnconfig -u'ed it. Not sure why. This happen to anyone else?

Maybe this isn't the correct way to have an encrypted home directory
