CVSup on FreeBSD
I've been following it as well, but with greater concern (Freebsd not openbsd though). A web search of git-svn turned up very complex guides, way too much to sit down and figure out how to put most use cases on a 4x6 card as now I supposedly could do with csup/cvsup to update the freebsd port tree. Similar complexity for svn by itself, though more complete instructions may be forthcoming.

one other poster echoed my concerns which I've not detailed much yet, elsewhere.
IMHO this stuff (git / svn / cvs2svn / git-svn ) needs thorough documentation somewhere
for those who are not well-versed it their usage
 for non-routine and user-friendly usages.
I've said as much in a post in a thread in the freebsd.org forums, but almost everyone reading it is proably to busy to do anything in the short term. I know I am...
