Default Nvidia drivers

I've been considering switching to NetBSD and was wondering about the nvidia driver support. I see in pkgsrc there seem to be support to allow the loading of the official FreeBSD nvidia driver. I just can seem to find many reports on how well it works.

I'm currently using FreeBSD and use the nvidia driver for it's multiple monitor support. On FreeBSD, at least in the past, the nv driver support for multiple monitors was not that great. I'm running two monitors at 1600x1200, which did not used to be possible with the nv driver.

Anyone have experience using the nvidia driver in NetBSD?

The nvidia driver does not work on NetBSD. Period. End-of-Story :-)

EDIT: Remember, pkgsrc is designed to work with multiple operating systems, so the nvidia driver in pkgsrc will likely only work on Linux and/or FreeBSD.

Thanks.

I had seen older messages when searching that someone had created the necessary header files to attempt to get the FreeBSD version to work on NetBSD, but I couldn't find much new info.
