Default Stop spaces from being stripped off post

When doing a new thread post how do I retain the spaces in a line. Like 8 spaces in the middle of line to create visual effect I have in post? Currently all the spaces are being stripped out by the forum application.

To preserve formatting, use
&
tags. Place
before the text where formatting is to retained, &
afterwards.

As noted in the FAQ.

There's even a separate page that lists all the formatting codes that are supported.
