Default BSD Magazine/ authors wanted :)

God day to all,

A new print magazine focused on the various BSD operating systems—FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD — has started up. You can get more information about the magazine at http://www.bsdmag.org and
http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/unix/bsd/...g-is-out-23946

In the upcoming issue we are planning to spotlight OpenBSDand perhaps you could help me in this.

If you're interested in contributing to the next issue, due out in September, please feel free to contact me directly at katarzyna.kaczor@bsdmag.org

I reallly look forward to your reply.
Katarzyna

I don't see any real market for such a magazine. I'm using some books about $BSD and of course the net.

Looking at their site - it's published every 3 months and a 1 year subscription (4 issues) is $40 US. That's $10 an issue!! Outside of my price range - I have a hard enough time convincing myself to buy a $6 magazine.

Hi,

This looks good, but will this be available by subscription only? Or am I likely to stumble across it in my local newsagent down here in Australia?

I get the occasional writing bug but am sorely lacking in ideas or content.

Hello,

In other magazine news: I just learned that SysAdmin magazine stopped publication as of August 2007 (o.k., so I'm a little behind ), which as to my woe after C/C++ Users Journal bought the farm (I know that they "merged" with Dr. Dobbs, but let's face it, they're gone).

It does seem that there is serious lack of _affordable_ periodicals for all but the novice computer user (that I am aware of).

Maybe after several months, readers will be able to comment if this new BSD Magazine is geared towards novices or intermediate/advanced users - and if it is worth the $10/issue.
