Sure.
Note The only thing important is that can be burned inside a cd. |

Now i tried this new iso.
During the initial launch i see clearly the network message no carrier but once i'm on Xorg the ethernet network is properly recognized. (While previously don't happen). But remain the problem that dhclient don't run so no internet connection, so naturally the ping don't work this time. For be sure i make even a: ps aux | grep dhclient this process isn't present. While if, again, i start manually dhclient re0, then everything work fine. |

Thank you for testing this.
The "ifconfig $NIC up; sleep 1" I added to the script did not solve the problem. The NIC reports "no carrier" and my script excludes "no carrier" NICs from using dhclient to avoid infinite delays and the requirement to issue CTRL-C to continue. I could make the dhclient commands background tasks ... but then, if I leave the output on the console that will cause a continuous spamming flood of messages as DHCP requests are made and time out. If I route the console elsewhere, the user will not see messages that might be important to their connectivity or security, such as connecting to the wrong DHCP server. Thank you very much for testing this. I will have to consider how to address this issue. I am glad you have a circumvention through manual dhclient execution. |
