Dansguardian configuration issue
Hi All,
Been lurking on this site for a while and now finally I have a question worth posting. We have dansguardian installed at work and I need to configure it so some users can access some specific sites and other users cannot. At the same time, the users that I allow to access the exception site can not access any other sites on the blacklist. Each user on the LAN has a static IP address so I can easily identify them by IP. So for example I would need to block myspace.com for everyone (put myspace.com on the blacklist) but I need to allow 1 particular user to access myspace.com but not allow him/her to access any other blocked sites. Is this possible to achive with dansguardian??? Thanks to all in advance Cheers, Orallo |

Thanks a lot phoenix!
I've tried it and it works like a charm! I've set up 3 groups (the default group and 2 more) and I added the users that need one site off the bannlist to one exception list and the other users that need the other site off the banlist to the other, left everybody else in the dafault grup with the full banlist and NO exceptions, and DONE! Thanks again for the sideways thinking! |
