Question Hot pluggable hardware detection.

What is the mechanism for detection of new USB or eSATA devices?

If I plug a USB device into an "on the motherboard" USB2 port, OpenBSD detect the hardware properly. If I plug a USB device into a USB hub no detection takes place until I unplug the hub and then plug it back in.

dmesg produces no messages when a device is plugged into either of my USB hubs nor plugged into the eSATA port.

eSATA detection only happens at boot.

Any guidance is appreciated.
