Default Designing BSD Rootkits: An Introduction to Kernel Hacking

I want this book. Does anyone have it? If so, what did you think? I find the more I do to secure my server, the more interested (and paranoid) I get. I want to learn it all.

It's a good book for FreeBSD kernel programming but doesn't discuss security from an administrator's perspective per se. Even so, you may find it interesting reading.

You can download the sample chapter here: http://nostarch.com/frameset.php?startat=rootkits

It's a bit thin, & the discussion is not extensive. However, I wouldn't say that it is a bad book; the author simply had a good idea & good supporting material that he has attempted to stretch into a "book".
