Question I can't make FreeBSD floppy/boot image disks under Windows with fdimage

I've get stuck with a basic problem at the pre-install task of FreeBSD. I have to make boot floppy disks to install FreeBSD 7.0 to my old Asus laptop. My installing way is CD-ROM with boot floppies. I haven't this time any FreeBSD systems to make the floppies, so I have to make them under Windows PC with the fdimage application. I have two PC's with M$ Windows: desktop with Windows Xp and the laptop with Win2000. I can't make the floppies under Win2000 because it complains that fdimage isn't pure 32-bit application when trying to open it. I haven't got working fdimage either under WinXP. It shutdowns almost immediately after it starts. Is there any other applications or ways to make the boot floppies (under Windows) than fdimage that FreeBSD Handbook suggests to use?

I assume you need floppies to boot your laptop, cause you can't boot with cd-rom.... (otherwise use CD to boot)

Now i assume you got floppy image:
If you got any PC with CD-Rom you can reboot with LiveFS cd or some linux live CD and run dd

Code:
$ dd if=/path/to/floppy/image of=/dev/fd0

If you're a Windows user trying to write out floppy images, try rawwrite.

You can download rawrite.exe from one the OpenBSD mirrors. For example from
ftp://ftp.calyx.nl/pub/OpenBSD/4.4/tools

You can also grab it from the FreeBSD FTP server:
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/tools/
