Then up would become down, right would become left.. and the universe would crash leaving only a core dump.

Sounds pretty serious.

For the Europeans (as opposed to the Canadians, who already know this) please do keep in mind that despite what you read or see on the news, not all US residents who believe in God are anti-abortion, anti-evolution, etc. Those are the ones who get the press, but they, like the atheists who feel that anyone disagreeing with them must be ignorant or stupid, are the fringe, not the norm.

For some reason, this reminds me of Ali G's interview of a woman protesting abortion.
"Have you ever had an abortion?"
"NO, of course not!'
"Well then, how do you know you don't like it? I mean, I use to think that I really hated cherry pie, but then I tried it, and I found that I liked it."

Then the FAQ would have been wrong.

This is obvious ... But I don't see how exactly this ties in with the God FAQ ... ?

Oh, and I don't think that people who believe in God are ignorant or stupid, I think they're ignorant and stupid. (haha, this was a joke of of course).

Just in case folks want to make an issue of this, Carpetsmoker and I assured each other that it was meant light-heartedly. So, on to more funny stuff.

If you think that is bad, look up the specs on the PDP-1, for what was probably like $60,000-$75,000 of equipment back then.

My mothers cheapo coffee maker probably has more processing power then the PDP-1 ^_^

I still have my old CompuPro S-100 computer. Dual processor (8085/8088), 256K static RAM, dual 8" floppies, nine serial ports, MP/M 8-16. I paid $7K for it in 1980.

The chair doesn't look very ergonomic. 60K for a computer and not a single dollar for armrests

Yeah, it's Dennis Richie and Ken Thompson...

That's a PDP-7 not a PDP-1 TerryP.

I don't know about the rest of you, but if I was in possession of a time machine.. I would so go back to witness this event.

Yes I know, I meant to 'look up the specs on the PDP-1' for comparison as even slower, I didn't mean to imply that the picture was of a PDP-1 instead ^_^

Maybe I should just skip posting in English until after I've had a nights sleep? lol.

Ah, another icanhascheezburger fan.
I usually go there once a day. Actually, the best way is to start with failblog.org. At the top you see links to lolcats, which is icanhascheezburger, loldogs (ihasahotdog.com, same idea but more dog oriented) and lol news and politics, which goes to punditkitchen.com, sort of the same idea but with politicians.

Actually I like the way they comment more than their images. Some comments are dead hilarious (and smart), gave me endless laugh
