Default PageSpeed arrives on NGINX to boost web speeds

From http://h-online.com/-1850441

Quote:
Google's PageSpeed project, which allows web sites to optimise performance without manual intervention from web site administrators, has been ported to the NGINX web server. Google announced the release of the beta version of ngx_pagespeed following three months of alpha testing with "hundreds of sites".

The module is based on the mod_pagespeed module for the Apache HTTP Server, which was launched in November 2010, and performs a range of on-the-fly optimisations of pages to help sites load faster.
