Default Intel 4965

Hi,

A driver for the Intel 4965 chipset has been committed to FreeBSD -CURRENT 8.0

Is there any way that i can use that driver with 7.0 ?

I think there is a project page related to the original porting efforts, but I think they now recommend waiting for FreeBSD 8.

OpenBSD 4.3 has the driver..

Read: http://perforce.freebsd.org/fileView...n/README&REV=1

The dependency of Ruby to run that script is depressing so I manually downloaded the files for you.

This shoddy forum doesn't allow attachments so:
http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/765714ae8c_0.13MB
MD5 (fbsd-iwn.tar.gz) = f63745b0c6fd4f607db7f4d68afe8fa3

I read all the licence files and I don't see any problems with me uploading it, why they made it hard to get is beyond me.. still, it might not be stable.

Thank you very much

Hmm, it complains about the licensing even though i've set the kernel variable.
The strange thing is that the module appears to be loaded, but no iwn0 device under ifconfig =/

? Click the paper clip at the top of the post box. I just attached the file fbsd-iwn.tar.gz that you put up for download on the file server.

Edit: Sorry, I had the wrong person in the quote box.
