OpenBSD 4.5 on ASUS EeeBox 202
Hi all,
I'm planning to install OpenBSD on the Eee Box 202. I would like to "build" a home server with the usual services (ftp, ssh, openvpn, proxy, svn,etc.etc.), and remembering my past experiences with an old biprocessor pIII500 and OpenBSD, i thought about this wonderful os. Have anyone tried yet? Any particular problems with hardware detection/configuration? I've read few newsgroup posts about some problems with networking hardware (wireless in particular). But i couldn't find much information about it, so i decided to write here. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Massimo. |

Welcome. There was a discussion of your hardware in December of last year on the OpenBSD misc@ mailing list:
http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&w=2...ee+Box+202&q=b BTW: 4.6 was released yesterday. |

Thanks for the reply jggimi. I already read those posts.
I didn't know Openbsd 4.6 was released yesterday. Thanks for the news! BTW I think i should try. Maybe next month or during Christmas holiday. Now i'm too busy with study and work. I already started last month documenting about Debian and Eeebox, there are a lot of tutorials out there. But I'd really love to have an EeeBox OpenBSD Powered!! |
