keys repeat X11

Hi,

I have some problems with the repeat feature on X11.
Exemple: I press the 'e' key, the repeat works but after 1 sec, I have 3 ligns full of 'e' If I press the 'backspace key', the first letters are deleted but after 1sec, all the line is deleted (in my shell, vim, chrome, ...). If I press the 'down' key, in 1sec, I'm to the end of file. This for all keys

I think it's a 'repeat features' I don't understand. It seems it puts the pressed key*100 when I stay 1sec on the key

Do you understand my problem ? Can you help me

Hello, and welcome.

You can turn off X11 "typematic" repeat-key functions or change the rate with xset(1).

In OpenBSD, the keyboard is usually controlled via the wskbd(4) driver, and its typematic settings can be inspected and provisioned via wsconsctl(8), and set permanently with wsconsctl.conf(5). To see if the wskbd() driver is being used by X11, see your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file.
