An hour (estimated) to get a downloaded image is ridiculous, it is only 288mb!
Was going to try it, but the project is obviously not interested in getting new users!

So you can run X on Minix I see from the user's guide (X for the new version still to come), but this would be the Vesa driver I assume, or at least have no acceleration, no drm. Also I see no mention of audio. Can Minix play movies and songs?
This isn't meant as criticism, only wondering whether this could be something I could use for my main system unless/until some wonderful soul adds kernel nvidia/nouveau drm support to OpenBSD. Probably not, eh? Last edited by thirdm; 18th September 2014 at 06:03 PM. Reason: spelling |
