HTML Certificate

The HTML Developer Certificate proves fundamental knowledge of web development using HTML.

Price: $95.00

*sighs*

And this from what is quite probably the worst "learning" website on the internet.

For example, at http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mysql_insert.asp
Quote:
$sql="INSERT INTO Persons (FirstName, LastName, Age)
VALUES
('$_POST[firstname]','$_POST[lastname]','$_POST[age]')";
EPIC FAIL!

The rest of the PHP, Javascript, HTML, and related lessons are not a lot better ...

I don't know about the w3schools being a bad learning area. The information there was enough for me to cause trouble on a few sites.

I was watching Contact the other day, and noticed this.

Gotta love those little details in movies

Is it any good? I saw the original a few years ago and I found it to be ... Ok ... Not *really* good to be honest.

After the horrific remakes of The Day The Earth Stood Still and The Omen I don't dare look at another one ...

There are a few Unix references, and lots of skin tight clothing, what else is there to ask for?

Better not answer that question, because I will soon lose control and it'll turn into a rant.

Back "On-topic", apparently there is a need for "Linus system engineers"

The funny part is they correct themselves later in the paragraph.

Also from the OpenBSD 4.9 instruction manual (order if you haven't already):

Quote:
When confronted by a huge Linux monster computer, Marlin saves the hitchhikers by reading the monster some of its own source code, thus causing it to become very depressed and commit suicide.
