This is not the definition of hacking.

I agree with BSDfan666.

1) Why are you going to post to Twitter? Have you lost your mind?
2) What does a "return to green" mean anyway? Are you wearing your arse for a hat?

Someone wants to destroy the monetary system. Another wants everyone's records for all to see. No, it's not hacking; it's a wave of anal retentive, self-righteous jerk offs with a little bit of knowledge.

These actions will only make it worse for everyone else. The crackers have fun, and everyone else pays with new laws put into place.

The word to describe such a person rhymes with brass pole and glass bowl.

It's felt to me like most of the cracking going on is either corporate or government sponsored. I just can't see a bunch of kids sitting around planning some high tech version of 12 Monkeys. But it could just be me, getting out and tired of all this tech crap.

Yeah I'm wondering like roddierod. That's some heavy heavy stuff going on and while its fascinating from the point of view of how capable some people are, the question that seems to come up is how come these guys don't have day jobs? I mean these are some brilliant misguided individuals. (ok nobody whois me now, I didn't mean it LOL). Anyway yeah, but the other side of the coin is this kind of stuff is good for technology because the spy versus spy thing keeps people on their toes and makes sloppy sysadmins hopefully a thing of the past. Along with the high tech hacks/cracks what have you there have also been some pretty embarrassing, humiliating that occurred that look like a 10 year old sysadmin was running the defense.
