Thank you.
I am new to the BSD space -- was hoping to use OpenBSD on my main laptop - connecting to my work network is the only missing piece Thank you both for the inputs. Cheers ! |

There once was a Linux binary emulation layer for OpenBSD/i386, to permit some applications compiled for 32-bit Intel Linux to execute on OpenBSD. As it was a syscall(2) emulation only, it required complex provisioning of all needed supporting libraries, and as each application an admin deployed required a different set of libraries, the complications were left to admins to resolve on their own.
It was only ever implemented for one architecture, and as the world moved on to open source software applications, newer architectures and deploying virtual machines, the need to manage and maintain a binary emulation layer for Linux evaporated. The OpenBSD Project removed it from the OS. There was also a FreeBSD syscall(2) emulation layer for OpenBSD/i386, and it too was removed. |

Yes that too....I had a go at installing the ICA client port before i realized linux emulation was discontinued in OpenBSD (6.0+ ?).
Planning on trying out FreeBSD this weekend -- there is a citrix receiver port which has been recently updated to v13.6 receiver...hopefully that will work !! Cheers ! |
