Default Radeon KMS and Horizontal Tearing

In
Code:
OpenBSD Bear.home.yak 5.4 GENERIC.MP#92 amd64
with a Radeon HT2400
Code:
drm: initializing kernel modesetting (RV610 0x1002:0x94C1 0x1458:0x2190).
I have horizontal tearing when dragging a window over the x11/wbar launcher in OpenBox. In the exact same desktop with an Intel onboard video chip also running current there is no problem. Tearing also did not occur prior to the advent of Radeon kernel mode setting. It only occurs when dragging a window over wbar.

I have tried setting various radeon(4) options in xorg.conf.d and fiddling with the window manager settings in x11/openbox without success.

I have the latest radeondrm firmware from firmware.openbsd.org and was unable to find newer firmware outside the openbsd community.

If I disable ukc radeondrm Xorg will not load.

Any one else with Radeon based cards experiencing this?
