Submitting new usbdev ID
I've been trying to get a nano usb wifi adapter that works in OpenBSD and finally have one, that when plugged in, has a supported chip
Code:
Controller /dev/usb1: addr 1: high speed, self powered, config 1, EHCI root hub(0x0000), AMD(0x1022), rev 1.00 uhub1 port 1 powered port 2 powered port 3 powered port 4 addr 2: high speed, power 500 mA, config 1, 802.11n NIC(0xffef), Realtek(0x0bda), rev 0.00, iSerialNumber 00E04C0001 ugen1 A prior mailing http://openbsd-archive.7691.n7.nabbl...-td228431.html There is a /src/sys/dev/usb/if_urtwn.c Realtek entry " { USB_VENDOR_REALTEK, USB_PRODUCT_REALTEK_RTL8188CUS }, " So it appears I'm missing the entry in /src/sys/dev/usb/usbdevs In spite of the size of Rosewill's market footprint, my search for a Rosewill VendorId came up empty. What would be the preferred /src/sys/usb/usbdevs entry? product 802.11n NIC 0xffef RTL8188CUS or product REALTEK 802.11n NIC 0xffef RTL8188CUS or product REALTEK RTL8188CUS_1 0xffef RTL8188CUS or ???? I'm comfortable building a kernel, but in the age of binary syspatch's would ultimately like to get this added to the device tree after testing. My posts to the mailing lists are not going through. I'm trying to avoid subscribing to the mail lists. Last edited by shep; 26th October 2017 at 05:43 PM. Reason: to to -> to get |

This one.
But you probably have to edit the other one too. |
