Default openvpn recursive routing

I get recursive routing errors after a random amount of time connected to a PIA vpn configuration with openvpn. https://pastebin.com/E5YiLSbr - This is my log and this is my config file - https://pastebin.com/sgBapmGd . I've tried allowing recursive routing but then I get "Host is down". I've tried with UDP and TCP connection but neither makes any difference. I have no idea what is causing this issue because it appears to happen randomly. I can leave the computer for 20 minutes and come back and the connection is still up but sometimes maybe after I've booted up and connected to the vpn I can leave to get a drink and the vpn connection is down. My pf.conf is https://pastebin.com/Nh6t4ajD . Anybody got any idea on how to fix this problem? I've searched for hours trying to fix this
