log file management
I would like to email /var/log/auth.log.n.bz2 log files to my personal email account for archiving and viewing.
Assuming there an easy way to do this from the root prompt, can someone share the syntax to accomplish this? |

I posted a shell script called matts] at http://www.daemonforums.org/showthread.php?t=3480 which can send such a log as MIME attachment.

You can also use mailx/heirloom-mailx
From memory you can use % mailx -s mysubject -a myattachment.gz mymail@example.com
