In a change which is bound to be welcomed widely, -current has gained "auto-join" for Wi-Fi networks.

I've been using Gregor Best's net/wireless for some time. I'm happy with it, but Peter's ifconfig(8) and kernel changes add three features which it doesn't have.
  1. Automatic joining. Gregor's application requires manual execution when switching networks.
  2. WEP. I still connect to one WEP network, unfortunately, and net/wireless doesn't support it so that connection is performed via separate script.
  3. Integration with ifconfig(8), so that the configuration can be provisioned in the hostname.if(5) file. Gregor's app, being an add-on, requires a separate /etc/wireless.conf file.
I'll be playing with this new feature at the next snapshot.
