Unhappy OpenBSD on Librebooted X60 ThinkPad

Hi everyone!
I'm about to buy used X60 ThinkPad, which is Librebooted and has Parabola installed on it. I want to erase the HDD and install OpenBSD 6.5 on it.
Will the OpenBSD work with Libreboot?
Are there any installation complications related to Libreboot?

I have heard of successful installs on an X200.
Why not just try it and see what happens?

If I buy it and it won't be able to run OpenBSD, that would be a waste of money. Of course I can install Void Linux on it, but I don't really need another Linux machine.

I see. I was under the impression you already had the machine.

Well, not trying to be a smart alec here, but according to startpage.com, and using these key words:
Code:
Will the OpenBSD work with Libreboot?
Most of the hits indicate it does work with Libreboot:
https://libreboot.org/docs/bsd/openbsd.html
======
The first one, of many it does look like it would be worth reading several, because there do seem to be some hoops to jump through, but apparently others have installed OpenBsd on machines with Libreboot, FreeBsd is less likely to work.
There also is this : https://dmesgd.nycbug.org/index.cgi
Use keywords, that fit your hardware, and see if others have submitted reports, also if you do install it, it would be nice if you submit a report there,
=====
https://dmesgd.nycbug.org/index.cgi?...s=X60+ThinkPad
===========
To sum it up, I think it would work , I am not sure about the Libreboot part, have never used that myself, if that causes problems you still should be able to install OpenBsd, and just not use the Librboot.

This can become complicated. Suggested steps:

1) Download the X60 manual and review the BIOS settings. If it only has secure boot (signed shim) then you have to generate a signature for the shim. There is an old post in the forums on howto sign a shim.

2) Read the documentation for libreboot. It appears to work, previous post has links, but it would not hurt to mentally go through the steps prior to laying out $.

3) Have a plan for installing any needed firmware. Firmware is normally installed over your network connection. If you need firmware to establish a network connection then you have to jockey usb thumb drives.

4) Double check the hardware. Thinkpads can come in different flavors. Make sure the one you get does not have nVidia video.
