Default Xorg segment error

As the screen has 1cm offset, i want to save the output of `xvidtune` to xorg.conf. Because there is no /etc/X11/xorg.conf, so i quit X into console and run
Code:
xorg -configure
to produce one. but it causes Segment Error.

How can i fix such a issure ?

thanks!

I've always see a segfault on 'X -configure' and just ignore it...

Have a look at /root/xorg.conf.new - pretty sure that the command output tells you that it puts it there.
