OpenBSD Song
Is that song ("I'm Still Here") based on another song? From listening to the older ones, it seems like they are spoofs of other songs, but not the kind I listen to. The old ones were corny but I like the 4.7 one and listen to it on my iPod all the time. It's very catchy.

They've come a long way, haven't they?

Nah, that comes from the DaemonForums white album.

The songs provided by the project attempt to convey some of the things the project has faced, either from the beginning or since the previous release, the genre isn't fixed.. and there has been a little of everything, but since the release art is sort of cartoony, the songs are typically "sing-songy" as well.
Assuming that makes any sense, listen to it and hear the message, it's quite alright if you don't actually enjoy it. Note that if you do not buy the CD, you are obligated to download the MP3/OGG and play it as loudly as possible at 3AM. |

Hey.... that song40 sounds cool to code to. If I had speakers I could jack the sound up and torture everyone :-D.
I think I like that release song, seriously!

Definitely my favorite...though Ty's "OpenVOX" is a close second. Or "Trial of the BSD Knights" (Star Wars bar music ftw). Last edited by rocket357; 13th August 2010 at 07:51 PM. |
