Read it yesterday too - I enjoyed it. It really speaks to what a broken bureaucracy MS had become... even by 2003.

It also implies that Bill had little control over what Microsoft put out there, because 5 years later not a lot has changed. I think him retiring is going to be bad for the company, and bad for the consumer in the long run.

Well, I've never had a problem with Mr Gates, just his companies products.

I sure would rather watch Stevo leave though.

No I don't think he had little control but in such a giant company communication is often more than futile.
