How do I start kde4?
Hi all,
recently (5 minutes ago) installed KDE4 from packages (yah yah, I know. But did not want to wait hours to complete) The installation completed without errors, but what next? startkde is not there kdm is not there, I am a little but surprised? |

Yah, it was the path problem. Why not in /usr/local/bin? Oh well... It it too buggy anyway, dumped after five minutes?

tbh, with the huge size of KDE and Gnome, I think /usr/local/kde4 is a great idea -- especially if you want to use kde3 and kde4 on the same machine or take backups of kde.
Just like /usr/local/texlive/2007 when using the default from the TexLive DVD, it's just a smart idea.
