How to: DMESG Monitoring
Good Morning,
I need help... I want to monitor dmesg on 300 hosts with FreeBSD system. Versions are between 5.5 and 7.1 Each day I want to write a report with each error detected. But I only want errors of the day. I have some sentences I'm searching in the dmesg. Have you got a solution ? Regards |

You can probably grep the data after boot and send it off to be compiled into a report; the main problem is handling a dmesg on a box that fails to come online.

An obvious solution is a centralized syslog server, that way all of these systems can log messages to a single location.
