"# out" is to comment out
Code:
# echo I use NetBSD echo "I use OpenBSD"

I think he may have be "commenting" on how lazy a person must be to not spell "comment out".
If I understand the totally vague question, I'm guessing he wants "sourceforge" not to be used with DragonflyBSD's ports tree.. which is actually pkgsrc. |

I apologize for late rebuttal but I didnt get topic reply notification for this thread. It seems there is a whole lot of confusion about what I wrote. A lot of source comes from sourceforge if you go compile gnome or kde in BSD. The sourceforge mirrors at times are slow/out-of-tune or whatever. During my kde compile the sourceforge dropped out several times and the build failed (no md5 match). I start building pkgs at night and never bother to look at it (I am on current pkgsrc & a lot of patching takes place, build fail chances are rare). I wish I could eliminate all sourceforge mirrors (0.6 kBps is what I get & abt 1 MBPS at GNU for same source) in order to have proper source from other locations. Best, David |
