Default How to Run a More Secure Browser

Some weeks ago I found this article on the DragonFlyBSD website: https://www.dragonflybsd.org/docs/ha...SecureBrowser/

What do you think about this approach? Did you do something similar?

All of the security and tracking problems seem to stem from JS, so what about stop using browsers and websites that require JS?

I like thier simple solution to have a separate machine for going on the web. If you don't have a second machine, perhaps put another OS on a USB stick and surf with that. If the file systems between the OS are incompatible, I wonder if that would be safer.

I actually have that article saved on my harddrive for future implementation. I wanted to test it, in order to see how involved the whole process is. That being said it's not my highest priority.

Also, I'm mainly a Firefox user. Not because I like it, but because I consider it the lesser of two evils. Besides adblocking everything as much as I can, I also surf with JavaScript disabled by default(!) through uBlock Origin. Enabling JS for a page when really necessary is a quick two-click process. Blocked JS-Scripts are indicated by a pink counter on the uBlock icon. Lately I've also started to use Firefox containers.
