Default Berkeley DB >=2 as backend

I installed portupgrade
cd /usr/ports/ports-mgmt/portupgrade/ && make install clean

Configuration Options
Code:
===> The following configuration options are available for portupgrade-2.4.6,2:
BDB4=on (default) "Use Berkeley DB >=2 as backend"
BDB1=off (default) "Use Berkeley DB 1.85 as backend"
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings

I have left the default on
BDB4=on (default) "Use Berkeley DB >=2 as backend"

Is this going to be a problem or is it the better option.

It doesn't really matter which one you choose, if you happen to have BDB1 installed you may want to choose that, otherwise just use BDB4.

how do I know if I have BDB1 installed.

If I do have BDB1 installed will this cause problems now that I have installed portupgrade from ports with the default BDB4.

thanks for the help

No.

Just use BDB4, AFAIK BDB is pretty outdated...
