Default macppc + radeon drm

Am I to understand that the radeon/drm driver for macppc in 4.7 is not working?

I stuck radeondrm* in my GENERIC file and it breaks the kernel compile on agp dependencies.

Is it that the agp driver is not possible/up to par or is it the radeon driver specifically?

anyone have any luck getting their radeon M9 card working with macppc for 4.7?

radeondrm is an architecture-dependent driver.

Please read FAQs 5.6 and 5.7.

I've read those faqs..

how about agp? is there a working agp driver specific to macppc? It seems radeondrm is very dependent on it. intagp, aliagp, amdagp, intelagp, sisagp and viaapg doesn't work for macppc. Take a look at sys/arch/macppc/conf/GENERIC, I don't see agp in there

OpenBSD's support for DRM/DRI is only for i386 and amd64 at this time, but, I do believe they intend to support it on other architectures eventually.

You should at least have 2D/X-Video acceleration on macppc with the X drivers, you'll have to wait for 3D accel.. or.. start coding.

This is purely out of curiosity....

Are there agp bridges on macppc? I'm new to this architecture. I'm asking this because I'm wondering of the problem is from not-yet-working agp or from radeondrm being too depended on it.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what changes are needed to get things functional, I don't believe DRM/DRI on i386/amd64 works on PCI cards yet.. just AGP/PCI-E.

It's only for ATI and Intel at the moment as well, the other legacy DRM drivers were removed from the tree recently.. I think they're working on KMS and DRI2, hopefully this work will also help 3D acceleration on more cards and other architectures.
