Default Hard lockup when scrolling terminal

I am running FreeBSD 9.2. When hitting scroll lock to scroll a tty up/down, the system locks up if I push the power button on the front of the case (which normally initiates shut down) or hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot. Anyone else have this problem? It's no big deal, but I've been caught out by this a few times now.
