ULE scheduler on Wikipedia
I was pretty surprised to find that there was absolutely nothing about the ULE scheduler on Wikipedia, so I started a page. My technical understanding is pretty limited, but I figured starting the page would be a good jumping-off point or anyone who wants to continue it.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ULE_scheduler I'd really like to see this page expanded, but don't have the technical understanding to do so myself (that's why I was looking it up ). If you want to contribute something, check this out for a good background document: http://www.usenix.org/event/bsdcon03...n/roberson.pdf Last edited by Weaseal; 23rd June 2008 at 05:38 PM. |

I'd help, but the only thing I know less about than ULE is wikipedia's markup language

Maybe if the scehduler was ported to 3 or 4 other kernels it would warrant the page.
But as long as it works on FreeBSD :-)

IMO, This is the beauty of Wikipedia. Nothing is too asinine.
One could argue the value of any piece of information. if I hit the random article feature, and up came an article about your dog, "Colonel Russel Terrier," I would likely read the article in full due to my absolutely puzzling wikiquette and then move on to whatever article it linked to next. Assuming I don't stop to flame it for lack of citation on the discussion page, or immediately start making a page for my pet, who would be clearly better (disclaimer: I don't actually have any pets because Wikipedia has filled that void in my life) And a page about the ULE Scheduler could be useful to someone. Then again, the three people who would actually care enough to read said page have probably already found their way here. Now I don't know if I'm for this idea, or against it. |
