Default Startx/xinit now working again for user

I found this a couple of days ago on Undeadly.org:
"The return of startx(1) for non-root users [with some caveats]"
https://www.undeadly.org/cgi?action=...20190917091236

I'm using -current and I do find I can now start X as user without using xenodm. Anyone else tried this?

Yup. I switched back on a system with a redeon and one with intel. Seems to all work the same.
