On this website it says HDMI audio is enabled by default in the kernel.

Has anyone had any luck with it working? I have tried connecting my computer to a few different TVs with HDMI but the HDMI audio is never even detected.

Default Installation fails on Intel Atom Baytrail as always

I just saw this thread about the announcement of NetBSD 10 beta, so I was happy to try it out immediately. Here is the problem: I have some "fancy" and exotic old Notebook (Airis Exelsis 140) which comes with an Intel Atom Baytrail processor, a 32-bit EFI and an InsydeH20 Setup Utility which has no possibility of setting legacy BIOS mode. That being said, it is clear that there are not many operating systems capable of installing on a 64-bit Processor but with 32-bit EFI only. But NetBSD, since version 9.3 (I think), is one of them, which makes it appealing. Although the EFI recognizes the 9.3 and the 10-beta installation media and the thing seems to boot fine, after a while (either you can just wait or you get more or less to the point where you can partition your disk), the system suddenly performs what seems to be a clean shutdown.
Does anybody know where / how I could report this, so the NetBSD Developers can look into this?
The Notebook is not broken, it ran Windows 10 at the time and right now I have Fedora 38 running on it, only thing I have no sound. So obviously it is NetBSD that has some kind of problem with that hardware.

The kernel buffer log on your picture says on the top:
Quote:
sysmon: LOW POWER! SHUTTING DOWN.\n
Could be a bug in envsys or it be could that with a dual-battery laptop and one of the 2 batteries dead (I guess the internal one), sysmon lists the latter first and triggers a clean shutdown when charge falls beneath 2%.

That said, isn't the laptop attached to a power cable while attempting to install NetBSD? Was there any problem with battery / battery life before trying to install NetBSD? Can you see if the problem persist while booting a different OS?
