[6.2] Sylpheed crashing xenocara
Hello,
I am using 6.2-stable, xfce and sylpheed (mail manager). In sylpheed, there are 2 particular buttons that trigger a strange behaviour. "Get" and "Get All" are used to retrieve mail from one mailbox and all mailboxes respc. When I push one of those, I get a black screen before going back to xenodm. Back on xfce, I find no .core. Pushing those again trigger the crash a 2nd time but the screen stays black and I can only fallback to ttys. This may not be related to OpenBSD but I was wondering how one would debug this problem. I use a x200t. Should I post dmesg, xenocara log ? (Which ones ?) Thank you. |

I have been using Sylpheed for a few years without any crashes.
I am currently on version 3.6.0 with OpenBSD 6.2 stable (amd64) and openbox. I guess /var/log/Xorg.0.log is the first place to look at to get an idea of what is going on. |

Thank you both.
I gave up and installed claws-mail. I will take some time and enjoy the situation before experimenting with sylpheed. |

I made the opposite move because when I clicked (often by mistake) on the reorder button I had to wait too long a time.
I found this claim, from the Sylpheed's website, to be true (~10k msg in my case): "you can read messages in a folder which has 20-30 thousands without stress." |
