Default icewm

Hello,

I use wmaker normally by I wanted to try icewm for a change.
Here is what I did:
pkg_add icewm
adapted .xinitrc to include exec icewm-session
startx

Icewm starts as expected. However all icons and window decorations are not displayed correctly. They all look like.... scrambled.

Anyone an idea?

Do You have the same 'display' problems with other WMs?

For example with default twm(1) or openbox/fluxbox for example?

It may be 'corrupted' package, but also a graphics driver problem, what graphics card You have there?

Unfortunelly I am not a strict 'OpenBSD person' so I do not have a knowledge about current state of various graphics drivers on OpenBSD/xenocara but others will speak out here about that.

Its an integreted intel graphic card (do not know exactly which one).
When I use window-maker there is no problem.

I actually had the same problem with icewm on an other pc. Perhaps its a package problem indeed...

I would report that to maintainer of that port, along with Your screenshot, IMHO if other WMs work/display properly, then its a 'broken package issue'.

A couple of things to check:
1) Is imlib installed?
2) There was a rendering issue on big endian machines - not sure if this was corrected
for your version
