Default change screen saver in text mode

I install FreeBSD 6.3 stable without graphics for use Plesk server

I type
Code:
sysinstall
and change screen saver and change it to snake from daemon , but new screen saver dose not work , and I have to reset system for start new screen saver . who I can do this without reset system ??

edit /etc/rc.conf
and make sure you have
saver="snake"

you need device splash in your kernel (it's included in generic)

Have a look at the splash(4) manpage.

You shouldn't have to restart the system to change the screensaver.
If you want to change the daemon screensaver to the snake screensaver, run:

# kldunload daemon_saver
# kldload snake_saver
Then you can edit /etc/rc.conf after that so that snake_saver will load upon reboot.
