Arch had initscripts for system configuration but has recently migrated to systemd. This will make the project a challenge. FreeBSD has not fully recovered from hal.
It would be nice to see the pacman package manager applied to a BSD although FreeBSD pkgng seems to have many of pacman's features |

Odd, I always thought the redeeming nature of Arch was the Linux kernel. What does Arch bring to the table that the FreeBSD userland doesn't already have?

According to http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread...333#post206333 it will not only use the FreeBSD kernel, but also the FreeBSD base system/userland.
