Default Patch question

My apologies if I seem to be spamming the board. This post is a legitimate question.
On the G3, I entered the /usr/ports/www/libxul/work/mozilla/xpcom/reflect/xptcall/src/md/unix and the error in building is
Code:
XPTCall not implemted on this platform.
I reenter the /usr/ports/www/libxul/files and try gmake, make, autoconf, and automake and the input files are missing. Using ls and grep shows no file specific to powerpc.
Okay, now, how do I patch when it seems that a patch isn't available?
The reason I am asking this here is because maybe an Open BSD or NetBSD example will help me. if not, move it to the proper place.
My apologies and thanks.

Write or acquire one.

Which is closer to freebsd in code: netbsd or openbsd?
I don't know how to do asm coding but I do know how to manipulate code.

The maintainers gave me the link to the svn if I need to checkout something. It was right kind of them.
If you do have any suggestions- howto's tutorials, online books- that i can read to understand assembly, I'd be glad to look into them.
Thanks and all.

I would suggest your chips programmers manual or reference (e.g. a few thousand pages of Intel books), your assemblers manual (often gas or nasm), and documentation about the operating system internals you may need to know (like the calling conventions and system call #s).

You can find a nice intro here http://www.int80h.org/

it isn't what I needed; but, I do appreciate that you took time to help me.

The processor is a G3/750 and there was some information sent to me from the PowerPC mailing list.
Since it- the asm for 750- is as jumbled as my thoughts, I should be able to manage.

Sorry, I missed the G3 part. The most info I've been able to find in a couple minutes, is openpdf.com/ebook/powerpc-pdf.html and a few articles on IBMs site.
