Fonts/Grafic and interface unsharp
Here is what I got (the right side). Every font looks unsharp, the same with pictures and windows.
first of all, I thought it could be due to missing antialiasing but after receiving images like this (pictures on my screen looks like compressed images (like the zoom bubble on the top picture, right side)) I think there could be also another reason for ... Additional info: I'm using the radeon driver for my HD5870 with 1440x900 resolution. Any ideas? |

np jggimi, every try is helpfull!
what I did today: i checked Code:
$ /usr/X11R6/bin/xdpyinfo | grep RENDER RENDER But I think it has to do something with this. I have the feeling that the whole screen has taken a smooth effect and now I want to make it sharp ^^. It tried both ModeLine configuration 50 Hz and 70 Hz (as given in the handbook) for my 1440x900 res (this is also not the correct solution). The problem still exists. Not sure, if it helps you: If I enlarge my fonts to for example 48px, it becomes better the sharpness. I need a way to reduce the anti alias effect.
