Default Samba and symbolic links

Hi everyone,
I've a samba share on a freebsd 7 system, it runs a samba3 server.
I mount that share on another freebsd 7 system by mount_smbfs whitout any problem, it works fine, but when I try to create a symlink on it I recive a "Operation not supported" error message.
I've googled about samba and symlink and I've found to make this works I need a samba server/client that support "CIFS UNIX extension". The server side support this, infact I've mounted the share from a opensuse system by mount.cifs client and it works fine.
I've read the mount_smbfs man page and there is nothing about cifs unix extension.

There is a samba client like mount.cifs to handle symlink on a samba share for freebsd?

Thanks.

PS: I'm very sorry for my bad english.
