Default Eclipse-cdt in Freebsd 7.1

I'll be installing Eclipse-cdt on freebsd 7.1 this weekend so before that just wanted to know, do I just need to go to eclipse-cdt port and do make install clean or I need to install jre first.

While goggling I read some where that make install clean on eclipse worked for someone.

And how do I install JRE from this site

If you want to use one of those packages, download the package (.tbz) files for your system (nearest match) and pkg_add them; you may have to install the javavmwrapper first though.

But waht about eclipse-cdt. I read few threads and found out that lot of people had heard time getting it up and going.

What I discovered is that first I need to install diablo-caffe/Diablo Latte JAVA then install Native JAVA then install Eclipse-cdt.

Is there some tutorial or something that can help me out with this.

I can't really be of much help there, since I threw out Eclipse shortly after testing it (each time I've tested it, I chucked it for vim lol). If you install the JRE/JDK, then Eclipse, then Eclipse-CDT, you'll probably be fine -- in so far as anyone else is with it.

I don't think Java is very popular with most of the people here, but C is fairly common; as is vi.... hehe.
