PowerMac G5
Greetings.
I recently found a PowerMac G5 collection dust at work... So I was thinking about upgrading the firewall a bit I was woundering if anyone here has any experience with running openbsd on a G5? How are you booting it? (as the sata controller doesn't have a obsd driver) Is it possible to boot it from a usb driver? I don't think network booting a firewall would be a good idea... Thank you for your time. |

There are two issues which need to be resolved:
ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/4....INSTALL.macppc ...but I would recommend subscribing to the ppc mailing list & asking there. Information on subscribing can be found at the following: http://openbsd.org/mail.html |

Thank you for your help.
Yeah subscribing to the ppc list and asking there would have been easier, but thank you all the same |

I suggest the mailing list because OpenBSD developers interested in the macppc port will see it there. There are no developers who regularly read these forums. |

Yeah I figured as much
